Carers Support Centre Bristol

The Carers Support Bristol is a registered charity which tackles the lack of opportunity experienced by many young carers due to their caring responsibilities. Many of these young people regularly miss school days and have little opportunity for extra curricular activities because of their caring roles.

John James Bristol Foundation is a long term supporter of the charity and last year awarded a grant of £10,000 to provide respite breaks for young carers in Bristol. The respite trips and activities offer an opportunity to learn new skills, increase confidence and provide a chance to relax. Building new peer support networks and friendships with other local young carers, also means that they become better supported and less isolated too.
