John James started supporting parties and outings for elderly residents of the City of Bristol back in 1963 and is well remembered for the 'Old Folk's Festival'. The Foundation continues this legacy to help reduce isolation and improve the wellbeing of Bristol's older residents. As well as contributing towards the cost of Christmas parties and summer events, we also have a scheme that distributes free tickets to local theatre productions.
