The Mazi Project

The Mazi Project uses food to empower care leavers, young asylum seekers and youth recovering from homelessness or fleeing domestic violence. They offer access to healthy food and food education and they create meaningful training and employment opportunities.

They currently support 90 disadvantaged 16 to 25 year olds each week with healthy and nutritious food package deliveries but there is a need for far more.

The Foundation is one of several funders who helped the Mazi Project realise their ambition to find a permanent home and to increase their output by 400%. The grant given by John James helped to fit out the kitchen in their new home in Bedminster.
