Step and Stone

Step and Stone is a working artisan bakery where people with any learning disability can come to learn skills, develop their confidence and make friends.

Step and Stone currently work with around 90 people teaching them employment skills in a supportive environment where everybody learns at their own pace. When an individual is ready, Step and Stone help them to determine their career aspirations and provide them with the support to succeed in a job.

The Foundation is providing core funding so that Step and Stone can meet the needs of a further 10 people. Not only is this a wonderful organisation, but the award-winning bakery products challenge perceptions about the capabilities of people with learning differences.
