Penny Brohn

Penny Brohn is a Bristol-based cancer care and wellbeing charity with over 40 years’ experience in providing personalised support to people with cancer. The aim of the charity is to help
people to live better with cancer, whoever they are and whatever their prognosis.
Penny Brohn has an expert team of doctors, counsellors, nutritionists, exercise and wellbeing practitioners that help people to embed lifestyle changes, so they can better tolerate treatments, reduce their symptoms and side-effects, and improve their overall quality of life.
John James Bristol Foundation has supported the charity for over two decades. This year (2025) the Foundation awarded a grant to help Penny Brohn expand the in-person programme of wellbeing days, living well retreats and small group
sessions at the therapeutic centre, near Bristol. The charity saw a 280% increase in registrations in 2024 and the hopes is that our grant will help them to support even more cancer sufferers living in Bristol.
