Mothers for Mothers

Mothers for Mothers offer mental health and emotional wellbeing support, advice and information to mothers and their families.
The Foundation has awarded the charity funding to help support mothers with perinatal mental health issues and their families living in disadvantaged areas of Bristol and help them on their journey to recovery. Women living in these areas are more likely to suffer poor mental health, poverty, social isolation and loneliness.

Our funding will help fund the REACH service, delivered via a helpline and a wrap-around client care programme and the peer support groups and a home visiting service. This seeks to alleviate isolation and offer non-judgmental advice and activities that help mothers bond with their child.
The charity hopes these initiatives will have a positive impact on up to 500 adults and 530 children in Bedminster, Hartcliffe and St George West.
