Huntington's Disease Association

Huntingdon Disease Association

Huntington's Disease is a profoundly disabling and rare neurological disease that destroys brain cells. There is no treatment that can stop or reverse the disease. Eventually, the person will need palliative care towards the end of their life.

The Bristol team are experienced and compassionate care management professionals. They support anyone who needs their help at any stage of the Huntington’s journey. They can help people living with the disease, people at risk of inheriting the disease, family members and carers. They can even advise friends, neighbours, employers and the medical team.

John James Bristol Foundation has provided the Huntington's Disease Association team in Bristol with funding towards core costs for almost two decades. The team directly supported 86 people in Bristol last year. This includes 53 people with Huntington’s disease and 8 carers, plus other family members.
