FareShare

FareShare take good quality surplus food from the food industry and get it to frontline charities and community groups including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes.

Our funding goes towards Fareshare's core costs as well as supporting the FareChance scheme that helps young adults into employment and training. Many young people arrive with rock-bottom confidence, disconnected from their community and without a clear picture of their future. Through FareChance, 25 NEET young people from Bristol get to shine, gaining meaningful work experience, warehouse skills and the self-esteem to embrace their full potential. For many it’s the first step to paid work, education or volunteering and three months after leaving the programme, 82% have successful training, employability, education and/or volunteering outcomes..
