Bristol After Stroke

Bristol After Stroke is an independent local charity helping people rebuild their lives after a stroke. The service offers a unique combination of practical, social, emotional and psychological support to stroke-affected people, their carers and loved ones.

John James Bristol Foundation were pleased to offer £10,000 of matched funding for the annual Charity Walk 2025. The walk was a huge success with 148 walkers who raised an incredible £21,000 (excluding the match funding). Being able to tell people that some of the money they donated would be match funded, really increased the support and the amounts people gave.

The bumper amount raised from this year's charity walk means that Bristol After Stoke can achieve their goal of supporting over 1,500 stroke affected people a year.
