Bristol Association for Neighbourhood Daycare

Bristol Association for Neighbourhood Daycare (BAND) ensures that childcare in Bristol is of the highest quality by supporting and developing clubs and childcare staff.  BAND has a membership of 177 clubs, many of which are based in deprived areas of Bristol.

The Foundation has paid for 10 free inclusive children’s
dance workshops to take place during the school holidays over the year. Each workshop will cater for 25 children aged between 4-13 years, and are offered to inclusive childcare settings that support non-disabled and disabled children. These settings include children who have Downs Syndrome, Autism, limited mobility and complex health care needs.

The workshops will allow disabled children to be equally involved alongside their non-disabled peers and will help improve collaboration, team working and social skills, as well as breaking down stereo-types and stigmas about disabilities.
