The Green House is Bristol's only charity providing free specialist support to children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse and rape. 13,000 children are abused each year in Bristol alone, causing devastating trauma and mental health issues.

 

​​The Foundation is one of several funders of The Green House, including the NHS, Ministry of Justice, Police and Crime Commisioner as well as other Trusts and Foundations. This year, 2025, John James Bristol Foundation awarded £20,000 towards the costs of the Whole Family Model of Support so that these children can receive 12-24 weeks of NICE approved trauma-informed therapy, and parents can attend a 6 week Psyhco-education course. The funding will also support the Young People Voice Group and the Parent/Carer's Voice Group which are designed to connect people who have been touched by these terrible crimes.​
