Step and Stone

Step and Stone is a working artisan bakery where people with learning disability come to learn skills, develop their confidence and make friends.

Step and Stone currently work with around 90 people with learning differences, teaching them employment skills in a supportive environment where everybody learns at their own pace. When an individual is ready, Step and Stone help them find and thrive in a paid job, providing free disability training to their employer and job coaching for as long as they need it.

The Foundation is providing core funding so that Step and Stone can meet the needs of a further 10 people.

Not only is this a wonderful organisation, but the award-winning bakery products challenge perceptions about the capabilities of people with learning differences. ​
