Golden Hill Community Garden is a bustling community space hosting numerous events from after-school and holiday clubs to special activity days for families with children with special educational needs. The garden also holds large scale social gatherings for the local community, attracting more than 700 to Summer and Autumn Fairs and Bonfire night. There is also a weekly programme for their elderly neighbours and other community groups.​ 

 

Golden Hill Community Garden has become a victim of it's own success and the Foundation offered match funding towards a new and much needed kitchen and shelter. They raised funds through an extremely successful crowdfunding campaign plus money raised at events. We are pleased to say that the total amount raised, including our match funding, means that work is able to start. The new kitchen and shelter is due to be completed by early summer 2025 and an even more exciting schedule of events is being planned as a result.
