Hartcliffe City Farm

Hartcliffe City Farm has been open since 2022. It started as a neglected, derelict site and is now well on its way to becoming a thriving community organisation. The annual grant awarded by the Foundation since opening has been instrumental in this transformation.

Our funding has gone towards the development of two new community garden areas, upgrading the animal pens, greenhouse, outdoor kitchen, upgraded toilets and a new office space. The most recent grant contributed towards a new community kitchen, covered play space, improvements to the courtyard area and new signage around the site.
There is now a steady, stream of local people coming to visit the site and hundreds of people attending events. The focus now is on delivering activities of social value on the site and re-establishing it as a key community resource for the neighbourhood including people with mental health challenges and a range of educational activities for schools and families.
