Citizens Advice Bristol

Citizens Advice Bristol is a local charity for the local community and is the only universal advice service in the City giving support to people facing complex challenges.
No one should have to face complicated or intimidating problems without good quality, independent and impartial advice. That is why John James Bristol Foundation has supported the Charity since 1999.
The problems facing households in some of the more deprived areas of Bristol are more complex now than ever before. In 2024 Citizens Advice Bristol helped over 5,000 households and this is expected to rise in 2025. Confidential advice was given online (6K+ chats), over the phone (11K+ calls), and in person (3K face-to-face), for free.
Our grant helps fund the unrestricted advice service that offers benefits advice; debt advice; housing and homelessness; utilities and food; employment disputes; immigration and much more.
