Introduction
The Foundation’s financial year runs from 1 October until 30 September and during the year to 30 September 2007 a total of £1,169,697 was donated. This total is largely split between the Foundation’s main areas of interest, namely Education, Health and the Elderly but a small percentage also went to general causes which the trustees felt were of benefit to the residents of Bristol.
The breakdown for the year to 30 September 2007 is:

This included £300,000 towards Bursary Funds held in Bristol Independent Schools and £85,000 for Prizes and Awards donations spread over both state and independent Bristol Secondary Schools.
